This charger is designed to charge your Palm Pre battery while in a car. Included smart technology using an I/C chip prevents possible overcharging. The included I/C chip is a simple internal sensor that detects the batteries power capacity. Upon becoming full charged, the device will automatically switch to stand-by mode.
